Dolores Hopfensperger passed away peacefully on November 23, 2017.
Dolores was born to Dr. Benjamin and Winifred (Van Oss) Ouellette on March 25, 1926 in Kimberly, Wisconsin.
Dolores married Jim Hopfensperger on December 28, 1946 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2016. They were members of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna.
Dolores graduated from Kimberly High School in 1944. After high school she received her beautician’s license and worked as a beautician for two years before raising eight children. Dolores was active in scouting for many years and was also a member of The Order of Catholic Foresters.
She is survived by her children Pat (Cindy) of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Nancy (Don) Rademacher of Appleton, Mary of Eugene, Oregon, John of Neenah, Tom (Deb) of Kaukauna, Paul of San Diego, California, Jim Jr. (Sherry) of Kaukauna, and David (Natalie) of Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Betty Treder (Brookfield, WI) and Patricia Kluge (Kimberly).
She was preceded in death by her husband Jim and infant son Robert, parents, sisters Elaine McCann and Mary Bobber, brothers-in-law Joe McCann, Harry Bobber, Charles Treder, and Jim Kluge, and sisters-in-law Bette Hopfensperger and Patricia Koenen.
Dolores was a quiet, gentle woman who enjoyed camping and traveling. She and Jim traveled throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 29th, 2017 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Holy Cross Catholic Church.
