Owen Lee KitzmanOctober 26, 1959 ~ August 21, 2017 (age 57)
Owen Kitzman, 57, of Kaukauna went peacefully on Monday, August 21st, 2017 in his home. He was born October 26th, 1959 to the late Virgil and Erma (Schoen) Kitzman and raised in Clintonville, WI.
Owen was a lifelong employee at Pierce Manufacturing for 39 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors and spending time with his family and was always full of life and it radiated from him to the people who had the pleasure of knowing him. Owen was an amazing and dedicated husband, father and grandfather who loved and cherished all of his family. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Cathy (Otten) Kitzman, his children; Stephanie (Joseph) Lang, Nick (Shea) Kitzman, Trever Kitzman, Dylan Kitzman and his grandchildren Mariah, Karma and Brooks as well as many other family and friends.
Owen was a very hands on man and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do, fix or build once he put his mind to it and that included his family, there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them. He also enjoyed passing down and maintaining the legacy of his Kitzman family’s lifelong pickle recipe and there wasn’t a classic rock song he didn’t like or have a story about. His childhood stories about growing up in Clintonville especially Pigeon Pond will be sadly missed and very much remembered. Our lives were better with him in it and it will never be the same without him. Today the world is without one of its greats and the one thing that gives us hope, is we all know we will see him again and you know he will have a cheesy hilarious dad joke ready.
A Memorial Service for Owen will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St. Kaukauna. Friends may call directly at church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. (920) 766-2099 www.boettcherfamilyfuneral.com
We will always love and miss you Pops.
