Marie (Beata) Nackers, Appleton, age 95 died Tuesday, September 11, 2018. She was born at home in Outagamie County on July 10, 1923 to the late Henry and Petronella (Liebergen) Nackers.
She was a longtime member of St Aloysius Parish and proud to sell raffle tickets for their annual bazaar. She loved to be around people and volunteered for 25+ years the St Vincent DePaul store in Kaukauna. She also was a volunteer at the Outagamie County Health Center. She enjoyed doing embroidery and card playing with her family and friends from Golden Venture.
Marie is survived by her sisters Rose Schmidt and Margaret (Clyde) Romenesko and her brother, Leo (Alice Hietpas). She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by siblings: Eunice (Bernard) Tennessen, Russell (Evelyn Van Hoof), Gerald (Mary Lamers), Victor (Loretta VanDera) and brother-in-law, Vincent Schmidt. She is also preceded in death by nieces: Josephine, Patricia, and Phyllis Tennessen, Linda Nackers; nephews: Francis Tennessen, Michael Nackers, Daniel Nackers, Gregory Nackers, and Craig Romenesko.
The family would like to thank Barb Strohmeyer with Community Care, the staff of Grand Horizon as well as Dr Werner and his staff who assisted Marie through the years. They also want to thank all the staff of Thedacare/AMC and her niece, Carla who showed much concern and compassion for Marie in her last days.
